ReConnect Hungary Treasure Hunt
Application is over for first ReConnect Hungary the “Hungarian Treasures” Artisan Competition and Exhibition.
Entries were accepted from June 1st to August 30th, 2021.
We encouraged all Hungarian-themed original works of:
embroidery, folk costumes, furniture, paintings, carvings, jewelry, pottery etc.
WATCH THE INTERVIEW ABOUT THE "HUNGARIAN TREASURES" WITH AHF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, MELISSA KATKO PEPPIN:
An exhibition of all entries* will be held in September, 2021 at the American Hungarian Foundation (AHF) in New Brunswick, NJ.
Competition extended to ages 18 and older only (residents of the US and Canada).
RESULTS WILL BE POSTED: September 16th, 2021.
TOP 10 WINNERS will be displayed at the Hungarian Consulate in NYC for 10 days from September 8th, 2021.
TOP 2 PRIZES include Dinner with the Hungarian Ambassador and overnight stay in Washington, DC.
All donated entries will be auctioned at the Hungarian Consulate in NYC on September 18th, 2021 at ReConnect Hungary's Fundraising Dinner: "Culinary Flight to Budapest".
Non-donated entries should be retrieved by October 1st, 2021.
All entries will be judged by ReConnect Hungary alumni and AHF Executive Director, Melissa Katko Peppin.
