Lianna Hedrick's journey in Transylvania
Introducing Lianna Hedrick, the first ReConnect Transylvania+ scholarship recipient
Lianna went on ReConnect Transylvania in July with other ReConnected Participants. After the 7-day excursion she continued her journey as an intern of the ReConnect Transylvania+ Program, which is an exciting opportunity for young adults to gain valuable work experience and also mentor local university students in Transylvania. She is helping out the Bonus Pastor Foundation in Marosvásárhely and Kolozsvár till the end of the year.

My whole life I felt like we were missing pieces to our Hungarian heritage. The only things passed down through the generations were the food and some family stories. After this trip, I feel like I got to fill in those gaps. I have a better sense of what it means to be Hungarian-American and I feel a stronger connection to my great grandfather.
