We are so excited to announce the WINNERS of the first “Hungarian Treasures” Artisan Competition and Exhibition
 
We received beautiful Hungarian-themed original works, and we were thrilled that so many Hungarian American artists showed off their talents and applied for our "Treasure Hunt".

An exhibition of all entries was held in September at the American Hungarian Foundation (AHF) in New Brunswick, NJ.
The Top 10 winners were displayed at the Hungarian Consulate in NYC at the ReConnect Hungary Fundraising Dinner on September 18th, where the donated entries were auctioned.

My whole life I felt like we were missing pieces to our Hungarian heritage. The only things passed down through the generations were the food and some family stories. After this trip, I feel like I got to fill in those gaps. I have a better sense of what it means to be Hungarian-American and I feel a stronger connection to my great grandfather.
